At 1 lb 9 oz the Trail Zero rides lighter than almost every other waterproof mid on the market — close to a running shoe on the foot yet solid enough to trust a full pack across a shoulder-season section. The EVA midsole keeps the foot stable on long descent days, the 4 mm lug depth bites loose terrain without snagging on rock slabs, and the synthetic mesh upper sheds trail dust fast. Sized true to a Brannock device with a roomy toe box for downhill toe splay, the boot pairs with a low-cut trail sock for warm-weather hikes and a mid-weight wool sock for shoulder-season carries.
